As mentioned in the Introduction, TLRs, leading players in adaptive immunity as well as in innate immunity, have been thought to play a role in the pathogenesis of various human autoimmune inflammatory diseases.
Th17 cells are linked to the pathogenesis of various human autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, and IL-17, IL-17F, IL-22, and IL-23 levels are increased in RA, psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, and IBD [ 4, 17, 72– 72].
As illustrated above, it appears particularly well adapted for drug uptake and active transport studies, as well as for understanding the brain endothelium response to various human pathogens and inflammatory stimuli.
