Differences were evident in the outcome measures, assessment points, and classification of whiplash associated disorder participants, where many trials combined whiplash associated disorder classifications even though interventions in practice would vary between classifications.
The main neuropathological features of Type II FCDs have been established since the original description by Taylor et al. [ 1], and so their classification has not varied in successive classification systems [ 2, 33].
As the instructions for the number of classification categories which could be assigned to each case varied across the classification, for consistency, the classification teams were asked to assign up to three categories for complicated cases.

Although both categories contain terms with similar experimental paradigms (such as performance in different mazes), the reported results of the tests vary, warranting classification to two different categories.
