Simulations were performed in regard to this range, illustrating under which conditions (potential variation, specimen thickness, fringe contrast, or acquisition time) a potential variation is detectable by off-axis holograms with an SNR of 3. Two examples are shown for fluctuations of b 1V and c 100 mV, for different thickness of the inhomogeneities (20 200 nm).
Since CNVs reported in the DGV are measured by a variety of methods such as high-density aCGH and direct sequencing in different populations this finding indicates that a substantial part of copy number variation is detectable by high density SNP-Chips.
A number of LHR mRNA splice variations were detectable using the primer set LHR.ex7.F/ LHR.ex11.R (Fig. 1b), which amplifies the region containing the 3′ VDS.
