In order to accurately describe motor recovery and overcome common problems of longitudinal data (serial correlations, time-dependent interindividual variability), we adopted a variant of response feature analysis (RFA) that refines our previous efforts in modelling hand function recovery (Matthews et al. 1990; Abela et al. 2012).
