Trade is depressed: the value of shipments to euro-zone countries, where two-fifths of British exports go, was 11% lower in April than six months earlier.
The average estimated value of α+γ when revenue is measured by the value of shipments is about 0.37.
The increase was entirely accounted for by higher shipments from petroleum refiners, where price increases lifted the dollar value of shipments, said Mike Feroli, a senior economist at JPMorgan.
