"value of participation" is correct and usable in written English.
This phrase is commonly used to refer to the benefits or importance of being involved in something or actively taking part in something. Example: "The value of participation in team sports goes beyond just physical fitness. It teaches important values such as teamwork, leadership, and perseverance."
These same approaches can be applied to the design of other nutrition and physical activity interventions to raise the incentive value of participation, rather than trying to persuade participants to change through reason and logical arguments.
