We selected three large mapping areas containing field plots for use in either the LiDAR-to-ACD calibration or for purposes of regional mapping validation (Figure 1a).
There is little difference in performance between the results obtained with and without the measurement validation (Figure 7c,d, respectively) because the image registration was quite accurate.

For validation (Figure 1) 0.1 µg total was used for hybridization.
The LDA based classifier showed poor internal validation (Figure S3).
We believe that the future of CIPer technology will rely on digital amplification [34] and high throughput sequencing validation (Figure S5).
A computational pipeline was constructed to perform successive computational steps, including data pre-conditioning, selection of training and test sets, data reduction, analysis for protein expression differences, selection of best models, and validation (Figure 1).
Predictor building and validation (Figure 1) was performed using the established robust methodology for microarray prediction: first, the global sample was randomly divided into a training sample (2/3 of the sample, 29 patients) and a validation sample (1/3 of the sample, 14 patients).
From the plot of the weekly isolation rate at the stage of model validation (Figure 4(b)), it is apparent that the rise and crest of ILI visits cannot be captured by virological surveillance, while they can be detected by the proposed probabilistic measure.
