Entitled Director's Cut, it comprises material which previously appeared on her albums The Sensual World and The Red Shoes – but rather than the usual stopgap hits compilation, the songs have been reworked, and in some cases completely re-recorded.
As is usual with such compilations, the editors leave it to the contributors to speak for themselves, and the quality of the chapters is uneven.
Compilation... compilers?
