Using the sample criteria (80% of common haplotype), our methods partition the sample into 20 blocks and identify 18 tag SNPs, whereas Zhang's algorithm partitions the sample into 23 blocks and uses 22 tag SNPs.
The first two data sets are population-based, while this data set, as a validation series, reflects the sampling criteria used in the development of Wang et al.'s 76-gene classifier [ 29].
This difference in density is even more pronounced given that the sampling criterion used in the current study included individuals with less than 3 cm diameter.
