Using the same utility-based analysis used so far (for determining what we should do now based on the likely consequences to humanity) to instead model the behavior of an SI itself, we see that an "evil" SI would approximate a purely self-interested, utility-maximizing ideal that would assign highest utility or desirability to outcomes that benefitted it and not other beings.
