Alternative approaches to achieve similar results exist, and may, for example, involve drawing the desired configuration of the trachea and main stem bronchi directly on the DICOM images during the segmentation step using the Brush tool in inPrint, as discussed earlier, or using midline symmetry to replicate the native configuration of the trachea as discussed in the 2016 course [2].
