DD How are you using empathy?
| Updated below | David Roberts at Grist yesterday posted a deeply moving essay about using empathy as a means to take on tough issues.
I suppose if the "word police" were reading Steve's book, or someone who's extremely pernickety over meaning, they might see a problem with using empathy for sympathy, but I haven't read that book by Steve.
But, to really thrive in the face of stress, we should also work toward finding meaning or purpose in our work or other activities, and toward nurturing our positive relationships using empathy.
He has advised Oxfam and the United Nations on using empathy to create social change, but it is also touted as the next big thing for career and relationship success.
