Dihydropyridines are commercially used as calcium channel blockers for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases (Figure1).

For preparation of hydroxyapatite powder, calcium nitrate tetrahydrate and diammonium hydrogen phosphate (reagent grade) were used as calcium and phosphorus precursors, respectively.
Hantzsch 1,4-DHP based drugs such as nifedipine and niguldipine are widely used as calcium channel blockers for the treatment of cardiovascular disorders including angina, hypertension and cardiac arrhythmias [3].

Therefore, the insertion of calmodulin into cpYFP (called "camgaroos") (Fig. 6b) [ 14, 27] and the tandem fusion protein of M13, cpGFP and calmodulin (termed "G-CaMP") (Fig. 6c) [ 101] have both been used as calcium indicators because a conformational change occurs in the fusion cpFPs upon calcium binding.
In the case of SCP/glass composites, where mixture of synthetic calcium phosphates was used as a calcium phosphate component, formation of glass ceramics (calcium silicate, sodium calcium silicates, melilite, sodium silicate, sodium borate, HA) took place.
By today, there have been developed a number of composite materials based on HA and glass (HA/glass), where SHA and BHA as well as other materials on the basis of calcium and phosphor are used as a calcium phosphate component [10 15, 20 22].
Furthermore, due to substantial calcium content, masa byproducts could also potentially be used as a calcium resource.
In the biomimetic bottom-up remineralization approach, calcium silicate based cements, such as MTA, were used as the calcium source [49,54,53].
