Second, based on a probabilistic map of the KNOB, the proportion of grey matter corresponding to this region significantly positively correlated with the proportion of grey matter found when using a voxel-of-interest analysis derived from the PET data.
By using a voxel-by-voxel approach, which consists of comparing groups of patients without an a priori predefined region of interest, our team and other groups have showed that abnormalities on DTI were detectable outside the primary motor regions, thereby confirming that ALS is a multisystem degenerative disorder [ 53].
Our hexahedral mesh is generated using a voxel-based algorithm.
