After calculating Pearson's correlation coefficient (PCC) for each TF→miRNA associations using a time-lagged expression correlation analysis and the interpolated expression data for TFs and mature miRNAs, we finally derived a set of 1,989 TF→miRNA associations (see Additional Files 3) for 37 miRNAs and 258 TFs (see Additional Files 4), each associated with a PCC value (see Methods).
