We report on a spectrometer that is compact, mechanically robust, and is much less expensive than previous designs because it uses a single pixel MCT detector rather than an array detector.
As a proof of concept, we show imaging of a transparent test structure and white blood cells in flow at a shutter speed of 33 ps and a frame rate of 36.1 MHz using a single-pixel photo-detector.
To demonstrate our method, we show contrast enhancement in imaging of a transparent refractive-index-modulated structure and white blood cells in flow with 33 ps dwell time (shutter speed) at 36.1 MHz frame rate using a single-pixel photodetector.
Excitation point spread functions (PSFs) were measured using stage-scanning confocal imaging of a single subdiffraction sized fluorescent bead using a single-pixel hybrid photodetector (HPD) (Model R7110U-40UF, Hamamatsu Photonics, Bridgewater, NJ) as described in [ 21] for single spot excitation.
Before filtering (time series is presented using only a single pixel which is activated) and after filtering (time series is presented with linear combination of neighbor's pixels) signals are therefore compared with statistical analysis software (SAS).
In our simulation, the image was subdivided into 200×200 pixels and 200 rays were aimed at each pixel using a single simulation wavelength of 550 nm and the number of rays incident on each pixel is displayed as a greyscale image.
IODA directly links a whole image to a whole label map, assigning a label to each pixel using a single neural network forward step.
Recording was performed using a single scanning run at 512×512 pixel resolution with a scanning speed of typically 166 lines per second.
A 512x512 pixel image would require about 5.2 min to analyze all pixels using a single processor and implemented on MATLABTM to yield the blood, oxygen saturation, melanin content and scattering strength of a skin site.
Background subtraction is performed independently on both camera images using a single Gaussian probability distribution to model each background pixel.
