Progeny virus titers were determined using a microtitration infectivity assay [ 47].
The titers recorded were the reciprocal of the highest dilution, where A630 was > X. HI titers were examined using a microtitration method as previously described.
In order to empirically examine to what extent the method works on different species, simultaneous extraction of 48 randomly chosen species was carried out in a microtitration plate (as shown on Fig. 2) using the Wizard® Magnetic 96 Plant System kit (Promega) to isolate the released DNA (Fig. 1B).
A procollagen type I C-peptide (PIP) EIA Kit (precoated) was purchased from TAKARA BIO INC. (Shiga, Japan) and employed for the determination of the serum concentration of PICP with a microtitration plate as the conventional method according to the supplied instructions.

However, the conventional assay using a 96-well microtitration plate is time- and sample-consuming, and therefore is not suitable for rapid diagnosis.
At home, consider using a smaller plate.
