After co-fermentation of crude glycerol (40.0 g/l) and glucose (40.0 g/l), they obtained a post-culture filtrate containing 22.81 g/l fumaric acid with an efficiency of 0.346, while a similar yield of 0.35 g/g was obtained after culture on a medium containing 80 g/l glucose using a high-yielding R. arrhizus mutant, RH-07-13.
