To support the reliability of both QRT-PCR and microarray data, we used a DNA mobility shift assay to determine whether purified OxyR protein could bind in vitro to the two potentially positively regulated gene (dr1998 and drB0125) and two potentially negatively regulated genes (dr1709 and dr2263).
