In the present case where only 32 AYAs were recruited from 411 potentially eligible AYAs, the enormous staff and material costs of the research appear to be out of proportion to the number of participants recruited and usefulness of the of data collected.
The use of established peer groups could be argued to limit the usefulness of the data collected as participants might make their narratives more socially acceptable to preserve relationships within the group.
What has not been addressed sufficiently in this literature is how best practices in interviewing methods can contribute to the quality and usefulness of the data collected.
