PAR-1-deficient mice [ 20], PAR-2-deficient mice [ 21], PAR-3-deficient mice [ 22] and PAR-4-deficient mice [ 23] were bred from heterozygous mice, in a mixed Ola/C57Bl/6 background (PAR-1, PAR-3 and PAR-4 knockouts) or on a C57Bl/6 background (PAR-2, backcrossed >8 generations), and were used between 8 and 10 weeks old.
