To better characterize the morphology of ER compartment, we used a fluorescent marker, LCA-FITC (fluorescent lens culinaris agglutinin-fluorescein complex) which recognizes glycoconjugates located in nuclear envelop, ER and Golgi apparatus [14] (Figure 8).
