However, current software configuration management tools use a file-based data model that is barely sufficient to manipulate source code.
Radiance material files use a fixed syntax modeled after the BRDF and lighting models used internally by the simulation program, and all parameter values are explicitly indicated.
Instead, parameters and rules are generated using a model data file, which contains summary of input output pairs.
