Video-based search engines and video SEO are increasing, particularly as the availability and usage of tablets and smartphones change the way we consume information daily.
Last October research put out by the UK's telecoms regulator, Ofcom, highlighted rising usage of tablets among kids.
Although the usage of tablets is really taking off — Millennial notes that is up by 33percentt over last year, with iPad very much in the lead — smartphones are still accounting for the vast majority of traffic.

Typically, such methods have been fairly simplistic, with fixed assumptions of drug use pattern and or dose (for example, the assumed usage of 1 tablet per day).
It also sees the rise in usage of multiple tablets linked together by collaborative apps, such as Labs' MindMeld app.
Given the high usage of Android/iOS tablets and smartphones, such bioinformatics apps would raise productivity and facilitate the high demand for analyzing sequencing data in biomedical research.
Another sign of the swift rise of tablets today lastt month tablet usage of the BBC's on-demand online TV service iPlayer edged past mobile for the first time, with 41 million programme requests by tablet vs. 40 million on mobile, according to BBC stats for the month.
It also once again touted that the iPad had some 81% share of tablet usage.
Of those 1 million+ iOS apps, Apple announced later in the event that 475,000 apps had been designed for iPad – a device the company said had 81% of tablet usage share (not market share, mind you).
