For instance, cortical neurons in Brodmann area (BA) 24 migrate to upper layers faster than neurons in BA11, BA46 and BA17; neurons in BA17 take the longest time to reach their final position (Rakic 2002).
Therefore, pure CO2 injection is expected to rise to the upper layers more quickly than impure CO2 injection.
