Those with low or moderate levels of political knowledge (a surprisingly large segment of the population), however, are more likely to be open to persuasion from debate rhetoric from the candidates, and update their opinions of the candidates as a result of watching presidential debates.
The agents then update their opinions using equation (1).
The agents update their opinions as a result of interactions with their neighboring agents.
These agents interact over a networked structure and update their opinions based on their best-matching neighbor in the network.
