Update: An Aol employee reveals, "Owl was developed last year as one site that could publish content from Seed on a wide range of topics.
His emphasis was on advertising, but the change in climate is happening in other places, too, it seems: today the company is rolling out an update to AOL Mail, the first overhaul the webmail service has had in five years.

[UPDATES: As a result of this story, more sources are coming forward. One I trust says Bebo is being pitched at $200 million. Update 2: Sources inside AOL are denying that it is exploring a sale. Bebo also denies a sale.
In the next few weeks, AOL plans to release an update to AOL 9.0 with the addition of spyware-fighting software as one of the main improvements.
