Thirty TGFβ1-treated images and thirty TGFβ1-untreated images were given for measure.
One thousand two hundred sixty-seven cellular shapes from 30 TGF-β1-treated images and 1832 cellular shapes from 30 TGF-β1-untreated images were calculated with different morphological parameter values by Image Pro Plus 6.0 software.
Two-Sample Kolmogorov Smirnov test in nonparametric tests was used to evaluate the difference of a parameter between TGF-β1-untreated images group and TGF-β1-treated images group.
The discrepancy might be due to precipitate microporosity, since a close look at the untreated CT images reveals that the precipitate has variable grey values, corresponding to possible variable densities (see Fig. 4).
