'unsupervised learning' is a correct and usable term in written English.
You can use it when referring to a type of machine learning in which a computer algorithm is given access to data and is expected to identify patterns in the data without the guidance of an instructor. For example, "Unsupervised learning algorithms can be used to identify clusters of people with similar demographics."
