The guidelines warn that clinicians should be aware of certain potential, but unspecified, adverse effects associated with antiemetics, yet these studies, while reporting some side effects, appeared to indicate that other than an increase in the number of episodes of diarrhoea, the drugs were well tolerated.

Strong associations with RA (RR > 3) were found for psoriatic arthropathy, adverse effect to medicine/biological, reaction to internal joint prosthesis, unspecified adverse effect, osteoporosis, idiopathic fibrosing alveolitis, osteomyelitis, immune deficiency, elevated sedimentation rate, tuberculin test reaction, anemia and Cushing syndrome [Table 2, Figure 2].
Nonetheless, improved performance in one treatment provides evidence for some important but currently unspecified social effect.
