This study aimed to design and pilot a questionnaire to survey the use of ultrasound imaging (USI) by physiotherapists in the United Kingdom (UK), the type and content of ultrasound training physiotherapists using USI had undertaken and their perceived future training needs.
Before large comparative effectiveness studies are undertaken, a greater understanding of existing practices and preferences for future training is desirable.
The assessment identified areas of concern for future training and also served to reassure as to the proficiency of trainees in undertaking the majority of core competencies.
