In 2013 Art on the Underground will present a programme that will include: a major commission by an acclaimed, high profile British artist bringing artworks into every station on the Tube network; a set of posters and limited edition prints by 15 leading contemporary artists; screenings of London Underground themed films at a Tube station from the BFI archive.
But the rough-looking visuals complement its street-culture milieu and underground art theme.

Another distinguished artist-teacher, Daniel Pollack, goes to New Paltz to give a Bach-Chopin-Liszt-Schumann recital July 19; "masterpieces of the Russian underground" is the theme July 26, as Mr. Feltsman, the violinist Peter Krysa and the cellist Yosif Feigelson perform works of Shostakovich, Schnittke and Silvestrov.

There will be themed underground boat rides through King Arthur's Labyrinth – at Corris, in the south of Snowdonia – and guide Amanda Whitehead will be tailor-making King Arthur tours for groups in 2016, bringing to life the locations behind both the film and the legend.
A total of 35 five-minute films were broadcast on BBC One accompanied by Mike Batt's music and the programme's synonymous theme tune, Underground Overground, Wombling Free.
Musically, the film calls to mind the carnivalesque cinema of Emir Kusturica, an oompah soundtrack coming on like Danny Elfman taking a hammer to the main theme from Underground – all brassy inflections and drunken, semi-tonal shifts, merrily harrumphing through tragicomic spells in the gulags and absurdist adventures in the cold war.
