The absence of GalileoN insertions in the analyzed non-inverted chromosomes should be no surprise because insertions of actively transposing families are expected to be present at low population frequencies under transposition-selection balance [77], [78] and we sampled just a few non-inverted chromosomes.
Note that the last line is invariant under the transposition ((v, w)).
Figure 2 illustrates the dynamics under a transposition burst with evolving regulation.
