"I have seen many types of concussions, mild traumatic brain injuries, in many individuals over the years, but you cannot match the wide spectrums you will get until you are on the front line," Kaufman, the chairman of Michigan State's department of neurology, said in a telephone interview.
The research paper, from researchers at the University of Mexico, tracked 50 people who had mild concussions, but had not experienced any other type of concussion that year.
There are no published studies that have attempted to differentiate sub-types of concussion-derived dizziness based on patient presentation and report of the quality descriptors or the triggers (activities that provoke) of dizziness.
