We used RNAi to knockdown GCN2 levels ubiquitously in larvae with a UAS-GCN2 inverted repeat (Bloomington Stock Center, TRiP collection) driven by da-GAL4 (da > GCN2 IR).
For DVAP, two RNAi lines are available: DVAPRNAi GD3990 from the VDRC (Vienna Drosophila RNAi Center) collection and DVAPRNAi JF02621 from the TRiP collection.

Of these covariates, day of week, trip, collection device, vitamin use, pollen, mold, apparent temperature during the current hour, time to analysis, and nitric oxide concentrations in the testing room were selected for inclusion in our models.
RNAi constructs were obtained from VDRC for gce (KK101814, GD11178 and GD47465), Met (KK100638), Kr-h1 (KK107935), and SREBP (GD37641 and GD37640), as well as the genetically matched KK control (KK60100); and from the Bloomington TRiP collection for SREBP (34073) and the genetically matched TRiP control (GFP in valium10, 35786).
The tested lines were from multiple collections: the first-generation "GD" and second-generation "KK" long double-stranded hairpin RNA (dsRNA) libraries from VDRC; and the long dsRNA (Valium 1 and 10) and shRNA (Valium 20) libraries from the TRiP collection (http://flybase.org/reports/FBrf0208510.html) (Dietzl et al. 2007; Ni et al. 2009; 2011).
RNAi lines for individual genes from either the Vienna Drosophila RNAi Center (VDRC) or Transgenic RNAi Project (TRiP) collections were crossed with Ilp2-Gal4, and the adult progeny were examined for their weight (Dietzl et al. 2007; Ni et al. 2008).
