The old, forward-motion condition was the same as training, while the old, backward-motion condition was the trained trials played backwards.
The Digit Span subtest from the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-III (Wechsler, 1997) was administered to each participant and the Digit Span Backwards trials were used as the measure of working memory.
