As secondary outcomes, observers also noted two contextual factors as these could be particularly traumatic for children: instances in which the first on-screen death was a murder (excluding death in wartime combat); and, instances when the first on-screen death was of a parent of a main character.
The death of people can be traumatic, but these instances are less frequent than one might think.
