T-cell and neutrophil adhesion and transmigration governed by endothelial JAM-A were found to be mediated by αLβ2-integrin (Leukocyte Function Antigen-1, LFA-1) on leukocytes [11], a result that could not be confirmed by another group [15].
C. jejuni transmigration did not quantitatively correlate with the intracellular invasiveness of these isolates and a similar repertoire of strains including Inv+/Trans+, Inv+/Trans- and Inv-/Trans+ isolates were found as described above.
