The T6SS generally translocates at least two proteins: haemolysin-coregulated protein (Hcp) and the valine-glycine repeat protein G (VgrG) [60], [61], [62], [63].
Thus, the G-rich and GGC mutants can translocate at least four five times in RRL, and the source of their reduced translation initiation activity must be more subtle than a complete failure to translocate.
