Additionally, studies examining the genetic covariance between female choosiness and male attractiveness are mixed; some have found a transient positive correlation that disappears after one generation of random mating [ 6, 13, 32], others have found no correlation at all [ 15, 33, 34].
The results are obtained using equilibrium simulations, direct calculations from nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulations and calculations of the transient time correlation function expression, based on the dissipation theorem for nonlinear response.
To aid in metabolite identification, 2D J-resolved (relaxation delay of 2 s, 64 increments and 8 transients), Total Correlation Spectroscopy (TOCSY; relaxation delay of 1.5 s, 256 increments and 16 transients) and Heteronuclear Single Quantum Coherence (HSQC; relaxation delay of 1.5 s, 360 increments and 88 transients) spectra were collected for representative samples.
The level of conservation, estimated by the phastCons score [ 70] and phyloP [ 71], had weakly positive associations with level of activity in the transient transfection assay (correlation coefficients from linear regression R = +0.173 and R = +0.015, respectively, Additional file 2: Figure S14B).
The transient results showed good correlation between experimental and numerical intrusion rates.
The results obtained in this research will be useful for future assessment of a quantitative correlation between transient rheology and the evolution of fiber orientation.
