The similarity transformations (rotation R, translation t, and scaling s) of other landmark models with respect to the reference model is computed as Eq. (7).

Unlike simple affine transformations (translation, rotation, dilation, shearing etc)., non-rigid transformations do not necessarily preserve straight lines as different sub-regions of images may move by differing vectors.
