Some articles referred to the notion of "pure" transferability (outcomes-focused) or did not discriminate between the concepts of transferability and applicability (i.e., the extent to which an intervention process could be implemented in another setting [ 3]).
A major disadvantage of this approach is that assumptions have to be made about factors such as the circulating drug concentration being proportional to that at the site of pathogen load, or the transferability of outcomes between different studies.
Transferability (transfer of the outcomes to other settings or populations) will be assured by the detailed description of the context and participants.
