In this paper, the influence of traffic burst allocation was studied, and a novel cross-layer design to improve the utilization of radio resource was proposed.
Thus, an appropriate decrease of modulation level and proper traffic burst allocation are helpful for the optimization of overall resource utilization.
The desired goal of this work is to propose a scheduling scheme to improve VoLTE traffic resource allocation by reducing end-to-end delay increased by using other scheduling strategies (i.e., dynamic scheduling).
