The overall analysis therefore contained 15 data points with threshold ≥ trace, for which we used the bivariate model for meta-analysis.
Following accumulation of a permissive Ca2 + load isolated mitochondria treated with idebenone underwent the expected PTP-mediated swelling response (Fig. 1 C, trace a), while pore opening was prevented by treatment with a low concentration of N-ethylmaleimide (Fig. 1 C, trace b), which we have shown to block PTP-regulating sulfhydryl groups that are also sensitive to reduction with DTT [48].
For our experiments, our models described in this section are implemented in a trace-driven simulator, which we now detail further.
