For SB203580 and its conversion products, affinity determination was hampered by the auto-fluorescence of SB203580 and its products at the wavelengths used for the detection of the enzyme-tracer complex in the p38α bioaffinity assay.
Cu offers a longer (12 h) half-life and efficient cell labelling using lipophilic tracers (complexes of PTSM [ 11, 20– 22], GTSM [ 23], diethyldithiocarbamate [ 24] and tropolonate [ 25]), but rapid efflux of label from cells is a persistent problem and a still longer half-life would be preferred.
If cell types provide a tracer of complex life, it is of interest to know the general pattern of increase over the history of life.
As seen in Fig. 3A, when rhIGF1 was used as a tracer, ternary complex formation (fractions 0 10) was largely reduced in sera from KID and KIR mice, suggesting significant reductions in the levels of IGFBPs, as shown before (Fig. 2D).
The obtained results provide new knowledge on using natural tracers in complex glacial aquifer systems and can be used in integrated groundwater surface water management.
The high variability between maximum velocities of different tracers indicated a complex pattern of tracer movement through the soil, not captured by celerity values alone.
Finally, most of the studies used poor experimental techniques, i.e., invasive techniques with low spatial resolution (usually a few point-probe measurements in the tank) and high uncertainty that reveal little about the complex tracer concentration and velocity fields inside the tanks (Tian and Roberts 2008).
It should be noted that isotopic tracer analysis is complex, with numerous intersecting metabolic pathways.
We focus on three major determinants: (1) polymorphisms of the TSPO gene, (2) complex tracer kinetics due to heterogeneity of TSPO distribution in brain tissue and (3) variability of plasma free fractions across human clinical cohorts.
While diagnostic studies in oncology commonly use the semiquantitative standardized uptake value, a single static measurement [ 5, 6], metabolic research questions generally require more complex tracer kinetic modelling approaches or graphical analysis [ 1, 7, 8].
