Details: Among the newcomers whose roots can be traced overseas are "The Ex List," at 9 p.m. Friday on CBS, from Israel; "Kath and Kim," at 9 30 p.m. Tuesday on NBC, from Australia; "Secret Millionaire," at 9 p.m. Thursday on Fox (starting in January), from Britain; and "Worst Week," at 9 30 p.m. Monday on CBS, from Britain.
Fines have previously been written off by some councils because of difficulties tracing overseas drivers.
But the authority is unable to recoup the money as it does not have the power to trace overseas vehicles.
But Gary Gensler, leader of the commission, argues that too many bad derivatives bets can be traced to overseas locations, including the big trading loss by JPMorgan Chase last year.
A former investment banker, Mr. Gensler defends his proposals, arguing that too many bad bets in the global derivatives market can be traced to overseas locations — including the $6 billion loss last year by a JPMorgan Chase trader called the London Whale — and threatened markets in the United States.
By this age a further 12 children had died, 17 were traced to an overseas address, seven families declined follow-up and four were untraced.
The remaining 299 cases, who were born or diagnosed overseas, adopted or not traced in the birth registers, were excluded from the study.
Of those without an overseas address 89% were traced, either by the MoH or by the research team using electoral rolls from 1993 to 2009.
The report also traced G20 governments' funding of fossil fuel exploration overseas.
"We will take stronger action to trace borrowers including those overseas, act to recover loan repayments where it is clear borrowers are seeking to avoid repayment, consider the use of sanctions against borrowers who breach loan repayment terms and, if necessary, prosecute," he said.
The researchers found only 9% of companies surveyed could demonstrate they were paying their overseas workers a wage they could live off, and the same amount had traced their supply process down to their raw materials.
