COLLEGES NCAA--Accepted Rutgers' self-imposed penalties of two years' probation and the loss of 20 total scholarships in 10 sports for violating eligibility and financial aid rules.
As a whole, the team will be able to offer 75 total scholarships, instead of 65, starting next year, and that number will increase until it reaches the standard 85 by the 2016-17 school year.
The university's self-imposed penalties to the football program include three years of probation and 11 fewer total scholarships over four years starting with the most recent recruiting class, limiting Ole Miss to 22 signees instead of 25 in each of the next three years.
In football, U.C.F. will be limited for three years to 80 total scholarship players, as opposed to 85, and 20 scholarships to offer annually, as opposed to 25, for three years.
The punishment also included the loss of 10 scholarships per year for the next four years, with a limit of 65 total scholarship players on the roster, as opposed to the typical 85, for four years beginning with the 2014 season.
This foundation provides $10,000 scholarships on a renewable basis, meaning that the total scholarship can be worth up to $40,000 dollars over the course of a four-year degree.
