In our Bio-LDA model, we can compute the bio-term entropies over topics as shown in equation 6, which indicates that bio-terms tend to address a single topic or cover multiple topics.
The first statistical analysis yielded a strong positive relationship between essay performance and topic knowledge, r=.79, N=60,.p<.01, indicating that high levels of writing performance are associated with high scores in topic knowledge as shown in Table 1 below.
In order to forecast future trend of each topic, we iterate through the list of discovered topics and refer back to the binary incidence matrix and year dataset to obtain each dimension for a topic vector (as shown in Fig. 1).
The possibility that this mechanism may occur locally is an interesting topic for further exploration, as shown for miR-134 regulation of LimK1 mRNA in dendrites of more mature cultures (Schratt et al, 2006).
These topics were classified again, as shown in Fig. 4, to expose the position of trends as attractive to the development of science and technology in their country depending on its scientific and technological capacity.
This comprehensive approach enables to describe the general context of the topic and develop a paradigm as shown in Figure 1.
For our main outcome, we compared z-scores for all tutorial completions, irrespective of topic using an ANCOVA model as shown in Table 1.
The percentage of people with training in specific topics differed significantly across health professions, as shown in Additional file 2. Seventy-one percent of doctors and 54% of clinical officers attended training on initiating ART, compared to 54% of nurses and 40% of midwives (p < 0.001).
As a result, topics 'climbed' and others were some 'relegated', as shown in the following two examples.
