In the fat body, general metabolism, including ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) synthase and respiratory chain enzymes, along with intracellular processes and ribosomal subunits were the top subcategories showing differential expression enrichment (Table 2).
Among the top subcategories within hepatic organismal system that were highly-impacted and activated with SCE were complement and coagulation cascades and chemokine signaling pathway (immune system), aldosterone-regulated sodium reabsorption (excretory system), and PPAR signaling pathway (endocrine system) (Fig. 3).
For molecular function category, metabolic process, catalytic activity, and cofactor binding were the top abundant subcategories.
Regarding cellular component category, the number of mutant genes in the top three subcategories were much more in GXG-5.
Following this step, the category system was subjected to a re-examination by the authors, and, if necessary, the top and subcategories were separated or summarized and renamed.
Following the principle of extraction, all transcribed interviews were checked for relevant information, which was again assigned to the existing top and subcategories, with new, previously unrecognized categories being added during the extraction.
For molecular function category, catalytic activity and binding were the top abundant subcategories.
The top five subcategories in biological process were "cellular process", "biosynthetic process", "response to stress", "cellular component organization" and "nucleobase-containing compound metabolic process" (Additional file 1).
The top 10 subcategories of genes were found within all three big GO categories: biological process, molecular function, and cellular component.
Subclinical endometritis also was associated with induction of calcium signaling pathway, GnRH signaling pathway, and hedgehog signaling pathway among the top 50 subcategories (Suppl 2: KEGG Liver sheet).
Among the top metabolism subcategories affected by SCE, there was an overall inhibition of vitamin B6 metabolism, nicotinate and nicotinamide metabolism (metabolism of cofactors and vitamins), and arginine and proline metabolism (amino acid metabolism) (Fig. 3).
