With the use of the winner threshold value described in Section 2.3, a top precision for an unknown nucleotide sequence of length equals to any of the thirteen long or short sequence sets can be obtained.
A winner threshold value (chosen from the best among two defined threshold values and one other threshold value) offers a top precision for classifying an unknown sequence of specified fixed lengths.
For a set of exon and intron training sequences, the winner threshold value, T w (P3), is first chosen among the three threshold values, T m (P3), T p (P3), and T c (P3) that yields a top precision during testing.
The Top Precision (P0) is the interpolated precision at recall 0, i.e. the best precision observed at all ranks.
